Just as long as I don't have to act like a flaming idiot, I don't think I can do as good a job at that as that guy that lives in the White House. /wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif

Ohh Ohh Ohhh can I be secretary of state? In the movies these guys alwasy know stuff the president doesn't like in that one movie Indipendance day, they knew where the captured UFO was. That way I would be first to know of any secret military 4x4's.

As your new president I signed several things into law today. First, all citizens who own at least one OHV or 4by and use it off highway at least one day a month are now exempt from income tax. Second, all employers, public and private must give 14 days a year to employees to be used strictly for the purpose of wheeling. And finally, I have formed a task force to make sure all states have at least 50 trails that are rated at least a 3, with at least 10 percent of all trails being 4+. More to come. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

How about just eliminate gas taxes.. Those who wheel (at least me) would prefer to have no maintained roads... Just makes the commute seem more like something fun, like a trail ride... hehehe If those with cars want nice paved roads, they can pay for 'em... hehehe /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif

No maintained roads, eh? Hmmmmmmm, that would probably cut down on traffic quite a bit. And hey, even our old buddy nobody would like you since your idea will result in less pollution, since there will be so much less driving going on. You may have something there.

Perhaps a few maintained roads, but only the ones that go between major cities, and perhaps a few others.. but nothing else.. hehe.. more fun the other way.. As Secretary of Transportation, I will put the full power of the government into finding a way to inexpensively synthesize gasoline at prices well below the price of authentic dino juice in the mid east.. hehehe /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

I demand that a new cabinet position for Off Road be created. Along with a huge budget for me as Deputy to explore and report on the Uninventoried areas that the Forest Service has. No questions shall be asked when I submit bills for my unlimited expense account which might have fishing gear, hunting gear, truck parts, beer, etc., etc. on it...

Off road will be included under transportation, especially when I outlaw paved roads, then I'll control it... /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif

Hey, this Government stuff could prove to be fun after all.. hehe.. Make a Jeep the Presidential Limo.. As Secretary of Transportation, I'll have to make my official vehicle a full military version HMMWV, complete with guided missile launcher, just to ensure our safety on off road trips.. hehehe...
