It's that time. My factory battery is dying. Am thinking of going witha ared top Optima(live in Colorado-need those cold cranking amps). But have heard about Black Panther batteries.
any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I know that when I get the necessary funds that coincide with the death of my NAPA gold battery, I will go to an Optima. I have read about the black panthers in mags. before but I don't have any experience with them. The are a smaller battery, in some cases you can fit 2 in where your old one was. They have a higher amperage rating than a "normal" battery, up in the range of the Optima

Ive got one of the optima red tops...great battery! Quick recharge, and can be mounted anywhere. The cold cranking amps are nice. I had a trailblazer 925 before this one, and it was a good one too, but the optima is way better! hope this helps

What didn't you like about the Trailblazer? Doesn't it put out the same amount of amps? Which was cheaper?
