I like a car that\'ll...

My '71 has been sitting in a storage unit since July 4. I fired it up yesterday. No priming the carb or nothing, just got in and it cranked. Checked all the fluids-some tranny fluid on the ground but topped it off and drove it home without any problems. As my dear departed dad used to say "Boy, I like a car that'll crank." I must agree.

Patrick,

I thought your Jeeps didn't need gas more than once or twice a year. As I recall, you only burned one or two gallons during the whole hard ride a couple years ago

Just be careful if you start fooling with the fuel lines unless you have your fire extinguisher ready.

I guess when I say the engine fired right up I need to be more specific huh ? I did notice Mad John's Commando will be featured in the Calendar without even submitting it. That's a compliment.
