Well, I could have made it up at that hill if I had any kinda of speed at all but I stopped and then started going again and dug. It was all sand, that area used to all be under water, it's like a 100 foot square little sand dune area

Squeaky

 

Yeah, it used to be really bad. Now there are no squeaks. I had a 1/2" bolt holding the front springs rear eye in the shackle when the whole was made for a 9/16". So the spring eye was rubbing on the shackle and squeaking things up a bit

. All fixed now

Wait until you get that front shaft in and get to experience the "hop". These long wheelbase trucks tend to jump a lot when the going gets tough. Go play on some small dunes that are a little more than your truck can take and it will happen. Gets really annoying.

as this is always a huge debate, but just curious as to your reasoning....Why DOUBLE triangulated? Why not just the upper?

 

Uh, just the way it all came out basically. I can't do a normal triangulated upper bar with the 2 frame mounts going to the center of the axle. The fuel tank is in the way. So they actually go from the frame to the end of the tubes where they meet the diff. Then the lowers come from the center of the frame at the driveshaft center support bearing and out to the ends of the axle tubes.

Willyswanter: What program do you use to transfer video to the cpu and how do you do it? Do you have an IEEE port? I have this program called Videowave 5 and I can make and edit movies, but when I produce on it comes out to about like 41.4 megabytes for about 1minute of video, and that's just cutting and pasting videos that I have in my library.

 

I use Windows Movie Maker that comes with Windows XP. It has a little timeline at the bottom and you just drop your multiple clips down into it in the order you want them to play and hit save. You can select different compression types and file types.

I use Windows Movie maker to that comes with XP. I've been looking around for something better for more transitions and better to edit in music but WMM does pretty good for being so basic.
