hydro winch

Alrighty then,
I really want a hydro winch I am lookin at one of mile markers's (probably the 9000). just wondering if anyone had any experience with hydros. I know it wont work if engine is stalled etc but any other con's?

Here's the ugly truth, I've been hanging out in the military for 17 years, and have never had to use a single winch.
Everything now has the new mile markers and you still can't get'em stuck. You can pretty well destroy the vehicle,
not saying that I would purposely break tax payers property, but even the mechanics haven't had problems with'em.

check out this site, they talk about milemarkers (they liked them a lot) http://www.4x4review.com I can't speak of them personally though. When 4wheel did a head to head of milemarker v. warn, they burned up several ps pumps and fluid. I'd suggest a new pump (probably an AGR) and new fluid if you do the hydro.
