Hydro-steering

How could I set up Hydraulic steering? This seems to be to be the way to go since lifting a Jeep to great heights requires a lot of steering modifications. What are Hydro-steering's downfalls?

/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif Most states will not let you on-road a vehicle which does not have a mechanical link from the steering axle to the steering wheel. Other than that, it's OK. TONS of off-road machinery, both industrial and agricultural use hydro steering./wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

you could somewhere in the middle and use a combination like a lot of medium duty trucks do. the setup i liked the best is a power steering box that also controls a hydralic ram on the axle. this system also gives you a better road feel, as well a mechanical backup.
