I just purchased a ne under tank fuel sending unit. Which way should the sending unit be positioned? Should the cork point to the front, rear, left right?? I have the original one in there, but a buddy of mine who had it before moved it from the original position. So i would like to have it work properly.

If your tank is the stock one, the factory sender will only fit one way. If not, just be sure there are no baffles in the way of the float and you will be ok.
