I'm getting ready to install a 1.6 -16V engine into my Sami. I don't want mega lift yet so I was wondering if I could just use a 2in. shackle lift on the front to help clear the oilpan? I'll eventually go with a larger lift but for now that's all I'm looking for.

I was told when I did mine (8V) that I would need either 2" of lift or a modified oil pan and sump that would match Samurai set up.

You will also have interferance between the top of the engine and the hood. I used a 1" body lift to solve that problem
on my rig.
