How much is gas where you\'re at?

Gas prices have skyrocketed here in the Bay Area in CA, and I was wondering how much it is per gallon in the rest of the country. Today the avg. price was about $1.75 for regular!

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

WEll!!!!!!! lest just say up here in Kitchener ( 1 hour west of Toronto) Ontario gas prices are sky high. Prices are .75 cents a litre around home here and I have heard that prices for regular in Toronto are close to .85 cents/L. Now just so you all know there is just over 4L in a US Gallon. There for were paying about $3.75 a gallon. It cost me $72 to fill up my 26 gallon tank today!!!!

You guys are all lucky down there your paying less than $2 a gallon even with the exchange rate you guys are paying alot less than we are:-(

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

$1.60 for 92 octane $1.50 for 88 and $1.40 for 85 Yes gas is getting up there but remember that about half of that is tax. Why dont we start to drill for oil in our own country. Having a neighbor in the oil business has given me an insight on the oil deal goin on. Be prepared for higher gas prices in the summer but then they should go down in the fall. The OPEC nations cannot keep crude at over $28 a barrel for long. As long as it is $28 or less the U.S. companies can ship it in cheaper than to find it themselves. Once it gets above $28 it becomes more feasable to drill on our own turf. So the OPEC nations push it above 28 for a little time then they cannot keep their word and one of the countries starts selling it for cheaper. Believe me we are not running out of unrefined crude. By the time we do run out of it we will think of it as we now do coal. And besides none of us will be alive. At current rates of consumption the oil that we know of will last until 2150. That only counts the oil we know of. The untapped oil amounts are incredible.

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

Here in PA, im payin' 1.45/ gallon, its almost 35$ a tank, and its supposed to go up! Thats ridiculous, in the summer it was 89 cents. Ive heard a rumor that on April 11, 12, 13, there is going to be a gas out? No one's buying gas on those days in protest? Dont know if its true or not, but hey, if its gonna lower gas prices why the hell not, ya know?

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

Not to be a ***** about it but there's 3.78 litres in a US Gallon and 4.55 litres in an Imperial (British) gallon. Either way, you're right Ryan; gas here in Newfoundland is @ 79.6 cents/litre for regualr self-serve (87 octane) which puts it at $3.01 per US Gallon.
Our truckers just blocked the highway last week protesting high diesel prices and every gas station in the capital city went dry. The minute the blockade ended, the F%^$# gas stations put the price of gas up 3 cents/litre. They obviously failed to get the point!!

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

I live in Oshawa Ontario(east of Toront) and gas is 75.9cents a litre. There has been a email we have been forwarding around about a gas boycott on April 7 to the 9th. If you can try not to buy any gas those days. Sc#ew the oil giants.

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

Yeah the truckers blocked or slowed down the 401 (Canada's largest highway)last week down to less than 5 KMs an hour. It really sucked!!!!! And sorry about getting the gallon thing mixed up, anyway we are paying alot more for gas up here than we should have to anyway.

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

About 60 miles south of Chicago, the price for 87 just went up another 8 cents to $1.61 as of yesterday. This is killin' me. I had to drive my wife's car /wwwthreads_images/icons/mad.gif today and leave the truck at home. I feel like I'm sitting on the floor. Can't even see around a minivan! They say the price will be coming down, but when?? I hate to see what racing fuel goes for now!! /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif I don't know how you guys do it in Canada. Everything is expensive up there. I've been up there and had to fill up the company truck, ouch!

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

I pay about $ 4.50 per gallon for 95octane unleaded and about $5 for leaded 98octane. Sweden is not exactly V8 owners paradise :(

Re: How much is gas where you\'re at?

It is ~$1.39 at ARCO here in Tucson. ARCO, America's lowest grade gasoline. That is a whole $.50 higher than one year ago. This is ripping a hole in this college student's pocket (along with other things, of course).
