When I first got my truck I was paying about $1000CDN/year. That was 4 years ago, now it's up to $1500CDN. My insurance just expired and I can't afford to re insure it now that I'm back at school full time.

lets see, i'm 27 single male with a 2000 XJ in san francisco, ca and am insured by american express auto (not that cheap eastwood crap) and i pay............oh yes $114 a month. i guess thats pretty good compared to some of you guys. i always assumed california was more costly. i guess anywhere where insurance is mandatory its cheaper due to competition.
Was..$650yr for '86xj/'89xj & '75 dodge p/u.
Now $1200yr after dropping the '86xj(project now), '75p/u(soon to be dismantled), & adding a new Furd p/u.

I pay $130 a month for my CJ. I thought I'd take a wonder onto this board and saw this thread. There is a guy on the short-wheelbase board who says he pays $18 a month. I dream of insurance rates like that. I've had three single car accidents (I swear the curb popped up under my bumper and tore it off). That was on a Dodge Intrepid. I've also taken a defensive driving course (it got the speeding ticket off my record), and I've got a good student discount. I am also paying for full coverage not just liability because I am still making payments on it and don't want to be making payments on a Jeep I don't have if it catches on fire or gets destroyed.
Well I guess I got it easy, I only pay $8 a month U.S. for liability on my Cherokee, $50 a year for my Suzuki GS750, and $74 a month full coverage on my 96 Grand Cherokee. Life is great up here in N.D. being married with children and having a clean driving record.
I gotta quit complaining, just renewed policy;
male/36
no tickets/accidents
Cleveland Ohio area
235.40 for 6 months
Full coverage above state minimum/rental car and road service/500 Deductable
