When I first got my truck I was paying about $1000CDN/year. That was 4 years ago, now it's up to $1500CDN. My insurance just expired and I can't afford to re insure it now that I'm back at school full time.

Nik, wtf? As far as canadian prices go, I found BC to be so economical that I've kept my insurance with ICBC while I'm at school. They even know that I'm here, I paid 90$ a month in Whistler, and I pay 98$/mo now that I'm "out of province".
Why is your insurance going up?? That's crazy, mine's gone down every year since I moved to BC in 1999. I'm only a year away from being a "roadstar" (4 years no tickets no accidents, I'm sitting at 40 months, only 8 more, woohoo). Being a guy and under 25 in Ontario you get worked. If you're a chick you have no problems, its dirt cheap. BC has better rules imho.
Did you ruin a vehicle recently before the jeep? Or did you just get busted a few too many times in the (what was it again? audi or jetta?) I bought the jeep to slow myself down, used to drive a talon tsi, it cost me way too much, and then I wrote off a slammed camry. My insurance went down HUGE, after I bought the jeep and moved to BC.

I get caught with no insurance too. otherwise it would be even more cheaper. 3 year period will end next month. You should shop around for the best rate. I am sure you can get better than that. Don't let ins. companies take advantage of you.

For once I am serious, don't remember what they wrote it as but I got like a 10 or 15% discount for it, but then again my insurance guy was pretty cool. He had called me up about something stupid and I just mentioned that I should get a discount for having the added protection. Figure each deer was hit at over 50mph, would have caused some pretty serious damage otherwise.

$140/mo. for full cov. on my ZJ and liability/comprehensive on my CJ. I was paying $100/mo. last year for insurance, the rates rose 40% for no reason.

I'm in New Hampshire.

450$ for 6 months, state minimum, but i have insurance through my loan agency that gets added onto my loan which is 590$ a year. it came out cheaper to get state minimum insurnace and have the loan company buy insurance that covers the vehicle. yeah im sneaky like that
