On my D44 axle build-up/narrowing project, I measured my caster at 8.06* on the driver side, and 8.25* on the pass side.

This axle is still on the bench, and hasn't been installed. The 8.XX* caster was determine by tilting the pinion to the as installed position.

This was confirmed by a jc whitney caster gauge, and reconfirmed with a digital angle finder on the lower bj ear.

What side to side difference has worked for you guys? Is 1/8* too much?

Thanks!

some folks claim the difference is to compensate for the dome in the road.
you'll be fine with it like it is.

Thanks E. I pulled the inner C's off to narrow it, so this difference had come from my reassembly - not from the factory.

IIRC, the driver side had more castor when referring to compensating for the crown of the road.
