What do any of you do to insure that your air bags don't deploy while you're driving off road. It seems like a sudden jar or minor impact with a tree etc., could cause them to deploy.

Thanks,
Bill

The front air bags are triggered by G forces. If you hit something hard enough to deploy one, you will probably need it to save your skull. Most side impact bags are deployed by intrusion sensors so the same applies.

X2, you shouldn't have to worry about it. I've bounced my steel bumpers off trees and never had a deployment. The computer looks at a lot of factors including G's and speed so unless your hauling mail down a hill and swerve to hit a tree your going to be ok

As the others have said, shouldn't need to worry about it. The simple answer though is, don't hit stuff. :)
