hi there

so i am going to have my jeep painted (i know i know...i should do it myself...i got all sorts of excuses...just ask me if you really want to hear them).

how do i tell the paint shop what color paint i want. do i have to give them a number? or can i say the same color as a 2004 ford dark shadow grey?

thanks

they have books with loads of samples of all the colors they cna get, some of the books are sorted by auto makers, so it should be easy to find.

Or, go to ford and get the number of the color you want, or test drive a vehicle in the color you want and bring it by the body shop. They can look up the color for you or, can scan it and get an exact match.

Stay away from Du-Pont cheap paint.. ($300 a pint cheap to be percise.) Their expensive "Base-Clear" stuff ($500 a pint) actually matches, whereas their cheap stuff is completely the wrong colour.

Well atleast their Sahara Green is.. it's more like Craptastic Grey.
