Re: HOT RUMOR!!! CONFIRMED

Confirmed..

Larry Roeseler will drive a Toyota in the Desert under the PPI banner for the year 2000.

Ivan and Larry will probably prove to be unbeatible.

Re: HOT RUMOR!!! CONFIRMED

That's quite interesting! And it sort of makes sense, considering that Joe MacPherson Chevy is now owned by Republic Industries (the Auto Nation folks?).

Where would that leave Jeff Lewis? Is there going to be a Chevy race program in Y2K?

And better yet, does this mean that Larry will be driving the whole year? Or just for the few races that Ivan currently drives?

Re: HOT RUMOR!!! CONFIRMED

Hey everyone, just talked to MacPherson while they were out testing yesterday and it is true, Larry will back up Ivan at the 2000, and he is trying to talk Cal into letting him race the truck at the 500. Look for Larry to take over for Ivan in the year 2001 with a brand new truck. Ivans last year is supposed to be the 2000 and then he will concentrate on the Pro-Truck series.

MacPherson will be back next year with GM Truck Group as their main funder again. They are not sure who is going to be taking over in Big Mac but if you would like to keep up to date on this and many other happeings in the desert please visit us at www.race-dezert.com.

Re: HOT RUMOR!!! CONFIRMED

ORI,

I think we'll still see Ivan at the 1000 race (2k in 2000) for years to come. LR should be teaming with Ivan for the Baja 1000.

This is great for LR. IMHO, he'll be the guy to beatt for the next decade.
