Well this is my first time on this board or at least my first time making a post, usually I am over on the Chevy Board. Anyway, what I am wanting to know or ask is weather the new Honda Rubicons are out yet and how they are as an ATV compared to that of the Forman 450's. I am going to be buying a Honda and for sure a Forman just not sure if the extra money is worth it. I bought a 97 Forman new back in 97 and I loved it but I had to sell it only a year later due to needing a newer truck. I will be using it alot in the bush for deer and moose hunting and will also be needing for my business which is custom logging. SO I guess the more power the better. Is the Rubicon worth it???

Thanks, Ryan

I'm CindiSu's husband. I recently purchased a Honda Rubicon and I love it. I am a manual transmission kind of guy - I haven't owned an automatic transmission automobile in years. I rode a Honda Foreman ES before I bought the Rubicon. I thought the disadvantages of the Foreman ES were that in order to avoid a jaring clunk, you would have to stop each time before shifting gears, and you would not be able to shift directly into reverse without going through all the other gears to get to it. I was skeptical at first of the automatic trans in the Rubican, but I have ridden it about 50 miles now, over a wide variety of terrain, and I have found the transmission amazing. It always seems to give you the correct "gear" ratio. I thought that I would end up shifting it manually in ESP mode, but I don't. I just put it in "D" and leave it there. If you are making a choice between a Rubicon and a Foreman ES, I would definately recommend the Rubicon. I hope this helps.

I have had mine since June 14th. Have added two Warn winhes, Highlifter lift kit, 28" Outlaws on 12x7 ITP Magnum wheels, Highlifter front mudlflap support/floorboard support replacement, CMP handguards, 26" Titan 589 tires on my stock aluminem wheels for everyday riding.
I think it was well worth the wait. It was better than I anticipated it would actually be. The transmission is very smooth and the compression bearking is great. The new front differential works much better than the old style. The torque and power is great. The start in gear feature is very convenient, also. I went to the DirtWheels mud tire shoot out two weekends ago and watched a Rubicon with 28" Outlaws wheelie out of a mudhole multiple times.

I'm also on the market for a ATV. From all the research I've done so far all arrows point to the Rubicon. Honda got the same reputation as Sony has in the electronic market. Can't find a good pricing guide on the net. My dealer will let one go for $6900 plus tax and registation. Anybody know the invoice and what is a fair deal?
