homemade rock rails / sliders

at some point i came across a page that had homemade rockrails, 2x2 or 2x4 and bolted on, real easy stuff. but i cant seem to find the link. if all else fails i will go to AJs b/c those arent bad prices...just wanted to see if i could do it.
