Homebrew snorkel- finally some good pictures

Here's my Jeep, "Gator Chaser" as it is now (with no transmission) This shot shows the snorkel very well...

Just bought a DJ-5C! Sliding doors and right-hand drive are cool /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

Jeepngreg- With the soft-doors on I can't even see the snorkel, and with them off there is still very little loss of visibility. It follows the windshield frame so closely that it basically is in it's "Shadow"

DanStew- Unfortunately the Puegot BA-10 gave up the ghost right after I got the engine seals all replaced so I could start going back in deep water without having to replace the fluids. If you look closely under the front of the Jeep in one of th pictures you can see the starter kinda hanging down there...

MarkyMark- The snorkel adapter is made of two aluminum blocks. The shape of the carb is cut out of the bottom one, and the top plate has some junkyard airbox elbow bolted onto it. Bolts go through holes in both plates down to the carb. Maybe the pictures below will explain it better. My boss is a machinist and made this for me.
