Does anyone have any comments about this kit. Good, bad, ugly?

Would like to hear any and all comments about the old or new kits.

Larry,

I don't have any experience with it but I do know two things. First, it won't work with an automatic tranny because of the kickdown linkage. Second, I found the Holley Pro-Jection kit for $540 at www.carpartsonsale.com...This was a few months back before I bought my Howell. It seems like a good system, it has adjustable idle and other adjustments to tweek it just how you like. My $.02

I found the complete link:

just a quick comment. if you have a th400, there is no kickdown linkage. they just have an electic switch above the gas pedal and a vacuum modulator. when school gets out in a couple weeks, i'll put an article together of my install. i'm still working a few bugs out.

Jeepgator,
Could you let me in on the reason the HolleyPro-Jection won't work with a TF-727??? I just got the 2D setup last week and didn't know that there might be a problem.
If you could fill me in I would be grateful.

Is there something about the hook-up that eliminates the factory bellcrank assembly? The bellcrank handles the transfer of the accelerator cable to the carb linkage and the auto trans kickdown. The only thing I could see being affected is the extra little vacuum actuator...you lose that on any carb swap. Maybe I'm missing or misunderstanding something?
