Hole size?

I'm installing hyme joints on my front steering linkage. The bolts are 3/4 inch for the hyme joints. What size holes should I be drilling? 3/4 or 49/64 I'm drilling the holes in the pitman arm off the steering box and the passenger side steering arm. Thanks...

Start small, you can always go bigger. You want as little slop in there as possible.

As for the bolt, make sure the shank (unthreaded portion) goes through the hyme and the arms. This will require you to take 2.5 to 3" bolt and cut it down to size. You only want 1 or two threads to into the arm or hyme.

Did it go together nice and easy? You did something wrong. Will have to do it again./wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif
