Hey Dave,

First, Thanks for that AMC book!

Second, I put another timing cover on this weekend and when I installed the fuel pump it brought up a question.

My buddy has a 304 and the fuel pump is "upside down" compared to mine. Is this because of the year? Do you happen to know what year went which way? I appreciate your help. Thanks.

By the way, the motor is almost done, I just need to buy a new flywheel, clutch etc. Oh, I cant wait!

Well, every parts store I went to had '74 and earlier in their books (and I went to about 4 including 2 NAPA's). So mabye he has a '74 block in that '75 CJ. I have a '74 block in my '79.

/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif That fuel pump thing has been a point of confusion for Jeepers who had early blocks. I think the arm went onto the fuel pump eccentric from the opposite side on those models. Did you get the DUI GM HEI info? That new distributor uses all GM parts and will really make your 304 come to life....not to mention reliability./wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif
