living in central conn. gives you a few options if you have a means to transport your ride. If you register your quad with the mass. DEM ( they have an office in springfield )there are a lot of trails (state parks ).I live in R.I. and travel there myself, day trips or over-night camp-outs. They don't hassle you but, they REALLY REALLY stress TREAD LIGHTLY and noise suppresion. The rangers do stop you on occasion but there very cool, usually they just want to check your registration. I have a mass. ph# for there DEM leave me a note if you need it or more info. good luck ! ride safe!

Bendit360 is right.... there is alot of good riding in mass.... I live right on the border of mass and ct and I mostly ride in mass. There used to be a state park on the RI. border that would let you ride and camp but I think it was closed last yr.
I am planning a huge ride this year for a bunch of ppl from the net/atvconnection chat room at Silverlake sand dunes in july. If your interested drop me an email and I can fill you in on the details. Its not a bad ride. I did it lastyear by myself and it was well worth it!

good luck

thanx for help.....I guess MA is the place to go.Your trip sounds interesting, but where's Silverlake. Will contact you.It sucks to pay taxes on a atv and state provides nowhere to ride.New to atving and hooked allready.

Silverlake is on the western coast of Michigan. It happens to be the only sand dunes on the east coast. Its not that bad of a drive either.. I did it last year by myself and I would do it again in a heartbeat! This year I have more people going and it should be even better than last year! I had approximatly 30-35 people and everyone that went said I had to do it again. I had people come from Texas, Toronto, Wisconson, Pa, Ohio and more... I dont have camping info on my site yet but I should soon.
I too used to register my quad and pay taxes on it in Ct.... but why should I pay taxes on it and not get anything in return.
let me know if you can make it.
