I think Holley's website http://www.holley.com has a thing that lets you look up carb/part numbers.

Are you sure it's a holley carb not a motorcraft? most AMC v8's came with motorcraft carbs. At least all the 2 barrel carbs did.

without a doubt holley carb. found out though, its a 500cfm (2400 series I think -forgot already)
Still can't figgure out my block year though

 

does the engine still have the tag on the valve cover? even better question is it still readable? That tag has the build date and the oversize/undersize codes. not sure if they are codes or straigh numbers. Couldn't tell you because I can't read any of the numbers on my tag.

Yeah, I can read the tag. The one riveted onto the valve cover is 207N25. That makes no sense to me though as far as a build date is concerned. Besides that, the engine has been rebuilt and I don't even know if these are the original tags. The intake is marked with

and on the block between the lifters, right above the cam, is F198. I didn't see any other numbers but that doesn't mean they aren't there, so if I'm missing something, help me out. Ireally need to figgure out what year my block is. Thanks again
