I can not find any torque specs in my jeep manual for the AMC 20 diff.....Does anyone have that info? I'm putting in new gears and an ARB.....which means I also need the preload spec for the pinion shaft.

All help will be appreciated.......while you at it....enjoy the Turkey...

Ring gear 65 ft./lbs., bearing retainers 85 ft./lbs., sorry I don't know the spec on the pinion.

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif My stuff says 210 Ft Lbs. That SEEMS high?? Front and rear are the same. If this is a seal service for example, you would torque it so it has about 5 INCH LBS more preload drag than it had initially, and DO NOT GO PAST THAT POINT. If you do, you will be screwed beyond all recognition./wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

Either that or you will be taking apart your diff again, and will still be looking for that elusive torque spec. Give whoever you bought the gears from a call tomorrow, they can look it up.
