HEI wiring question

Other than the 3.5 lift i also finished my HEI instalation on my 87 yj using Accel cap, rotor and coil.
Also did nutter by pass and Jeep rides better than ever but....

I temporarily wired the HEI with the original setup coil wire. I understand this is not good so i installed a 30amp relay trigered by this same wire (original pos. coil wire). The problem now is that jeep won't turn off. Engine keeps running after inginiton and key is off.
All wiring of the relay is according to instructions. To turn engine of, I have to disconnect old positive coil wire from the relay.

Whats wrong? how do I solve this problem?
Is it OK if I keep running the original coil + wire to feed HEI? Is this a 9V or 12V?

You have to use the ignition feed. The voltage at the coil has a resistive wire in it. Look on the left side. There are 2 connectors that hook up to the Duraspark module mounted on the lower portion of the fender well. The connector with 2 wires is the ign power...it should be a heavy 10-12gauge red wire. Tap into that and run a wire over to the BAT terminal of the dist. No relay needed. To be on the safe side, use a voltmeter to verify that you have 12 volts with the key on and 0 with it off.
