Just a quick question, what modifications have to be made to a CJ-7 hardtop to make it fit a 94 YJ??? Would it be worth it if I could get one cheap or is there a lot of work involved??? Also, will a CJ-5 hardtop fit or are the dimensions all wrong? If the top can be modified I'll be buying it as soon as I get an answer... At least I'll have it for half of this winter :) Then off to storage....

Thanks

Steve

No mods at all for a CJ-7 to a YJ. I just got one cheap off of E-bay for my YJ. I also got the CJ-7 full doors--they fit great, too. To close the tailgate, you have to start closing it, then sort of slip in the top lift gate, then close both at once--you'll see when you get it. I may grind it out so it fits like the YJ tailgates, though.

I thought the cj-7 tops had to be modified to make them fit around the bars that run from the main rollbar loop to the windshield on a yj. Not sure though. Steve
