/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif That dratted H8Monday lives in the same town as Summit, and can just walk in and fondle the merchandise. I'm taking this to the Algore commission on fairness, since H8 has an advantage, he needs to be penalized in the name of "Leveling the playing field" as the liberals seem to be so fond of doing. H8 should have to order from the Summit that is back east just to make it more fair and "equal"./wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gifPLUS...he should have to take off the front driveline so Geo Trackers can keep up./wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif

I saw your post and just started cracking up. I think he would also have to downsize to 26" tires for trackers to keep up. Does anyone know of any 4X4 parts stores in the southeast or am I just sh*t out of luck? Thanks

Dan

Well its like I tell my construction formen(other than,"If at first you dont succeed your replacement will try and try again). "The work is easy", "The pay is great", "And every day is a picknick", "OH, And by the way, your all working this weekend".
Ive enjoyed everywhere Ive had to work and live while on the road the last 5 years, I meet new people, see great places. It amazes me the attitude that some of our major projects superintendents have(they all have to travel from time to time)they talk about they hate this place and hate that place. I tell them, the company pays for everything, and Im still not done exploring a new place after 8 months, I dont even have time to learn what to dislike about a place in 8 months. Who knows where Ill be next month though, sometimes I dont know untill days before Im needed to be somewhere a 1000 miles away. Im always looking for good help to hire though as soon as I get into town.

82CJ7,
Did you get out to the Summit Truckfest 2 weeks ago? It was a lot of fun, put the YJ on the ramp a few times. I know what you mean though about buying retail there, I never get out of there with just what I went for, but you gotta love those 9am to 9pm 7 days a week hours. Hey lets go wheelin sometime, Im usually out in the Blackjacks Baseball Field parking lot working on my Jeep(its my shop). Or E mail me, Ill go out wheelin almost anytime and definitely anywhere. Later

Summit may be here in Reno but I have walked out of that place 2 times, which were the only two times I have ever been there. They are definately not retail store minded. Both times I was there they had one counter guy for purchasing. There must have been 5 or 6 other employees just walking around the place with their hands in their pockets. There were 10 people standing in line and all had developed a bad attitude. I was fired up by the time 2nd time I walked out of that dump. I bet if I think real hard I could tell you folks just about how many parts they had hanging on their walls. I will never go back. (vent, vent)

Yeah, their customer service leaves a little to be desired, they dont like to work much, but they are great to BS with. By the way the trick is to get a customer number then call it in over the phone and go down and pick it up. problem is I cant find my catalog.

Dan,
there is a 4W Parts Wholesaler store off of hwy141 in Duluth,GA. It is about a mile north of Pleaseant Hill RD on 141. There is also a place in Roswell ,GA. I've been there, but don't remember where it is. There is one off of HWY 41 in Kennessaw, GA. I saw it a couple of years ago while I was at Southern Tech for a year of school. Just look in the yellow pages or talk to some of the local Jeep clubs. There are a couple clubs based out of Atlanta. Do a search on yahoo, that is how I found them.

Good luck
Robert
