Does the non HO 5liter use the same balance on the fly wheel as an HO? I have to have my flywheel ballanced to match the motor.

I believe the pre 80 engines use a 50 oz harmonic balancer. The newer 5.0 HO uses a 28 oz. You can actualy use(or so I have been told) the heavier I6 300 cid flywheel, if you can find a shop to ballance it propperly for you. I tried every shop in Vegas, I might as well have been speaking swaheelee, by the confusion I generated.

I know what you mean. You should see the looks I get from the guys at ford when I order parts and tell them it's for a jeep. Now I have to remember what year the motor is, what year and model the ignition came from, and stuff like that.
