Graphite Paint

I have officially called every paint store in the phone book, and stopped by the local agricultural tractor store and they have never heard of graphite paint. I was wondering if anyone out there, who does have a local store that sells this paint, coud tell me if they would be nice enough to ship some to me. I am curious if the paint is available in a variety of colors. I would like for the paint to match my new paint job, but it is not that important. Black would be just fine. I do not know how much paint would be needed to do the four springs, but if you know of a store that sells the paint you have probably done this already and know how much is needed. My zip is 59937. If you need address and stuff just mail me privately and I will send them to you.

I've never painted my springs with it but have used it on out riggers on line trucks, and got some from Comercial Bodies Company not address but maybe you can find one near you... Like your idea of painting springs may have to try it now.

Is there anything wrong with painting the body with graphite paint? If I can make it into a factory Khacki color I'd use it to paint the whole body and make hosing the mud off that much easier. Of course I'd paint the springs with it too!

The idea for the body would probably be nice for cleaning purposes. I mainly posted this to the BBS to see if there was anyone out ther who could go to the place where they got their paint from and get me some. I would send a money order or something for the paint, can't imagine it being too expensive. Or, if anyone knows of an internet site that sells the paint it would be helpful.

The product I use is called Sliplate. I buy it at a chain store, CT Farm and Country, formerly Central Tractor. I use it under mower decks, and on snowblades and blowers. It works.
