Just picked up today front and rear Mog 416 axles. Check these specs out!:

-Front and rear air lockers stock
-6.5-1 gears stock
-1.75" inner axles before the portals
-2.5" stub axles after the portals

-72" WMS to WMS
-Disc Brakes
-50 degree steering angle
-4 ton rating

These are going in the buggy formerly known as willy

Here is what they look like cleaned up with 52's bolted on:

And here is the pinion shaft compared to a dana 60 pinion, 60's are for wimps

FOCUS......Forget about teh willys and get back to work on the crew cab!!

Haha
Looking good as always man. So you're gonna run 52's on the buggy now? Didn't you have a 38 or a 42 or something you bought for mock up purposes?

So did you sell a kidney for them or something?

I was thinking about buying some 4wd tractor front axles for 4 wheel steer. It'd be pretty bitchin' to run 4 backhoe-sized tires and already have the right bolt pattern. I just don't have a spare two grand. But I digress...

uh huh, sure sure my 10bolt runs daytona 500 laps around those barbie axles! And my IFS diff could like run 52"s and do burn outs alll day long in 4wd... Without even the slightest of shavings coming off!!! haha pure sarcasm

Those things are INSANE care to hook a pal up? I could use that for my big CLODBUSTER lol

I've been thinking about it...

Exaxt (or something like that) wants $575 per axle for the conversion. But all they do is take the torque tube end and cut the end off and machine a seal surface into it. Then press a seal into it. Then they take the driveshaft, cut off the slip spline, and weld a flange on it. Slip that onto the pinion, and bolt it on... Only thing I need is the seal to measure.

Damn, anywho, where did the 52's come from? I remember 44's for the Willys (Boggers) and the new Michelins for the crew cab.
Either way, that is freakn sweet.
