I'm not hitting on her in any way...The discussion and the mystery earlier just caught my attention that is all. I have a girlfriend anyways. Why would I dump her for an internet chick I've never met (no offence shorts.). Just a little myserty that I was trying to figure out.

 

I'm not flinging accusations at anyone or anything, Just making an observation that I found humorous. I was actually one of the first (if not the first) to ask Shorts what her name was, that was in the one thread on the BBS that she divulges that info, long long ago.

This was right after it came to light that she was of the fairer sex, she was in here for quite some time before that was even known. A woman of mystery...

Actually I have known that she is a girl ever since I joined this forum 9 months ago. The reason I asked her name was because I coudn't rember what it was that she wouldn't diverge. I am not the only person to have asked this here. And I would have asked the same question weather it was a guy or a girl.

I'm no geometry expert or anything, but wouldn't shorts' plan only gain 2"via shackle, and 4" total, leaving a needed 2"? I figure the add-a-leaves will net 2" along with my figured shackle flip lift (2") that equals out to 4" total (2" too short). The way I come up with 2" is that if you make all 4 spring attachment points (shackles and front hangers) 4" longer, you get 4" of lift, not 8", so I figure If you flip the factory shackle (which is about 4" long) you get 4" on only 2 spring attachment points, which is 1/2 of the total 4 attachment points which nets you half of 4" ................= 2". am I missing something?

WOW rebel that post had way to many numbers in it.

But I think I was able to follow what you were saying. With a rear shackle flip the rear spring eye ends up 8" lower, but only 1/2 of that is lift.

 

I made a visual aid too..

Sorry to turn the soap opera that would eventually become "I want to see shorts without the shorts" into something about trucks, LOL - this just came to me.
EDIT:
Idiot me........ I forgot that the spring eye will actually wind up 8" lower, not 4" because you're converting from a tension setup to a compression setup - and that will give a total of 4" of lift. I don't know why I missed that. so anyway, my idea is still correct, but it had a wrong number in the equation due to sleepiness, or maybe from me recovering from ORC BBS withdrawls. (internet been doewn for a while).

Anywho.... I'll be quiet now.

 

If you only lower 1 side you only gain half the total amount of lift.
