So far my CR500 has a Pro-Circuit Pipe and Silencer, and a White Brothers filter. I'm looking for a tit more power down low, i'm plan on putting some small bolts on my outer clutch basket thingy(kinda like poor man flywheel weights). Then I thought some reeds might help out for the quest for more low end. So, I don't recon i need to replace the whole basket, cause i here that would make it hit hard in the power band, something i don't need. Carbon Tech and Boyseen seem to be the popular brands, although Carbon Tech make some specifically for low end grunt and claim to help some up top(sounds great). Boyseen just claim more power. I was wondering what you guys have had experience with and what reccommendations you could offer. Thanks Marc

Get the real flywheel weight... try regearing and a new rear tire really help....

The flywheel weight is SO important, I ride my friends CR500 that has no flywheel weights on it and its so much more explosive than mine (he rides more moto). My CR is almost like a smooth 4-stroke...

It's just one weight, a big ring that goes next to the flywheel and mag-neto....

White Bros will have them for sure, but what are there no good local shops to you???

Chubby are you going to make it clickable??? team effort/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif

I have tried the bolt in the rear of the basket method and it works GREAT. Especially for the cost, under $5.00. Use Loctite as it would be a horrible site if one were to come out. Not only that but it makes the post's twice as strong (or more). Actually, if you ever break a post, use bolts to fix it, remember though, you need bolts in all holes not just the broken one to maintain a proper balance. If you want to get spiffy you can even weigh them individually to make sure their all equal. Overall, it's worth the money!

if you were going to be tail riding why did you get an MX bike? you should have got like a 650 or something........... the weight of a bike dosnt matter when you are rolling.
