Has anybody ever done this before? My stock tach is for a 4cyl and of course reads 2x the actual rpm. I read in the following link that you can place a potentiometer "between the two terminals of the tach" and adjust the resistance between these terminals to calibrate the stock tach to read correctly for the V8. Problem, the YJ tack has 3 wires, the green one that goes to the coil, a 12V to the ign, and gnd. Does this resister go between the coil wire and gnd or coil wire and 12V? I tried this both ways but couldn't get it to work but didn't get into varying the pot through it's full range of resistance. Anybody done this??
