I curently have a 2000 Chevy Silverado Z-71 LT ext. cab with the 4 doors. I'm planning on putting in a 6"-8" lift with 37" tires and 16"-18" off-road rims. I was wondering what ratio I should put in. I'm looking at either 4.56 or 4.88. Which would be better? I want maximum off-road performance. I have found a couple different gears. Here are the links for the front gears.

High performance Yukon Ring & Pinion gear set for GM 8.5" & 8.6" in a 4.56 ratio - YG GM8.5-456

High performance Yukon Ring & Pinion gear set for GM 8.5" & 8.6" in a 4.88 ratio - YG GM8.5-488

Wich one? Also do the prices look resonable?

From what I have found I think a have a 10 bolt-8.5" rear end. Correct?

And lastly where can I find some lockers for my truck at? I dont know anything bout lockers except they are the bomb for mudding. Any suggestions on what to do?

What's the OEM tire size???....is it P265/75R15??

Yukong gear has VERY good quality gearsets; can't go wrong with them.

Lemme know what tires were stock, what you have now and do you know the gear ratio that it has now???

For the most part it's not very active anymore (this board); I drop by every now and then to check things out.

Late.
