I have recently installed 33" tires on a 82 CJ5 and have all but lost fourth gear. Current R&P is 3.31.
I would like to change out the R&P but can't decide to which size. Are there any posted charts
that will give me a idea on what speeds a given R&P will travel (for a given RPM)? I have a Model 20 with
a 30 front. Thank you for any help.

4.56s are as deep as it goes for a model 20. But, I have another suggestion. Go with the 4.11s, and then later when you have more money do the TeraLow t-case conversion. I just did the TeraLow, the 4:1 low range with 4.11s would be all most anyone could want, especially if you drive your Jeep much on the street and don't have an OD trans.

I have my second tera low kit install now. My first kit was a three gear change out. It went out at the
Little Sluce on the Rubicon. Fortunate for me, My buddy was able to pull me all the way out and back
home. Got lots of looks on the highway (we were in both jeeps). CHP was even kind to us and did not
pull us over (twice).
Looks like the 4.11's will do the job. Are there any other posts with different
calculations? Thanks again, Goose

I have the T176. What I am also considering is doing the Warn Full Floater on the 20. The cost is high,
So I may go with a D44 and the 4.10(?) gears. It sounds like the 20 tubes will spin or bend or.... Other
thing I'd like to do are a T18 trans, Ubolt inversion (sprung under), and lock up the front end....
