I just bought a '77 J10 pickup. It has a 401/TH400/Quadratrac setup. It also has the dana 44's front and rear. Could anyone tell me what the ring-pinion ratio would be, or where I could look to find out.
thanks

SOrry, '77 is one of the few manuals I don't have. I do have the '78 and '76 manuals though.

However, in '78 and '76, 3.54 was the only gear ratio available with that setup, so I'd bet on 3.54's.

JEEPN is right, the '77 FSM sez J-10 model 25 119" wheelbase and model 45 131" wb with that set up were 3.54 ratios.

Originally there was a tag on one of the cover bolts. You probably should pull the covers and change the oil anyway, it should tell you the number of teeth on the ring gear. Then you can figure it out.
