Gear oil change

I have Suzuki RM250 '96 and I want to know how to Check the GEAR oil level and how to change it? How much oil goes in the gear box... maybe 500ml or something? Thanks in advance for help.

Also seem like after I come home from riding my bike I see few drops of oil leak from the Gear box on the floor, how can I stop this leak?

One liter (1.056 qts.) Gear oil usually comes in the 1 liter size, so just empty the whole bottle in the crank case. Remember to change it after every couple of rides.

It usually is stamped near the opening of the crank area for filling. Be sure to check on the motor because I know not all machines run on only one liter...there are machines that require more then that and some that require just that amount...please research before tearin it up....
