I have read all the old posts on this topic. But I still have some questions. First is where can i find the speces on the Aerotanks? Or is their anyone out there with just a SOA lift on their jeep with one of these tanks that wheels. How low does the tank hang, is it easy to hit? I go off-roadin alot and do not want to brake the tank.

I also heard some where you can buy replacement Stock gas tanks. But I have not saw where you can get these or how much they cost?

I will measure my aero tank tonight. As for hitting the tank, I never have, and even if I did, I don't think I could hurt it. It is a seriously stout tank. Even when I was running 33s with the spring over, I hit the bumper or the rear shackles before I hit the tank. I have not bothered to worry about a skid plate because of this. Now with the 36s I have no fear of hitting the tank at all.

I have a Aero tank with the SOA and have had no problem with scraping the tank. I'm running 35's and seems to be plenty of clearance. I bought my tank with the skid plate already welded on so that might help with the worry if you do the same. The xtra fuel (ie 23gallon tank) is great when wheeling and allows you to pass a few gas stations in route to the offroad without stopping. The tanks are not cheep but seems to be well built. I did think the installation was a pain and you may want to buy some rubber bushing to make the tank ride right.
GOOD LUCK

Have the Aero tank and spring under with 35's. And I beat the sh!t out of my Jeep. By looking under there it seems I have hit it, but I ordered it with the skid plate welded on and have had no problems. I hit the rear quarter panels and bumper way more than the tank.

Thanks for reminding me of another thing I have to finish!

I'd like it fine if I ever finished the things that have to be done first. I have the skid plate/mounting thingy finished and the hoses all set up, but I started redoing the rollcage this Fall, so I have to finish the welding that needs to be done in the cargo area before I install the plastic tank.

Otherwise, from all the fit-up, etc., it's going to work great.
