Full spool questions

So I've found a full spool for my 2004 Chevy rear axle in my pre runner project but how do the axles lock into the spool? On the original limited slip there are c clips that go in the end of the axle and recess into the gears on the sides of the carrier then the pin goes through and they can't get off the axle. On the full spool I see no place for these clips do I need additional hardware to lock the axles into the rear end? Can't seem to find any info on this anywhere.
