Does anyone have information about removing drums for brake jobs on the 10.75" corporate full floating rear axle? My Chevy manual does not address drum removal in the driveline section, just describes pulling out the axle shafts. And the brake section does not address the full floating axle. Are any special tools required after the shaft is removed to get the drum off? Or is this a basic hand tool kind of job? Thanks.

Once the axles are out you will see a retaining ring and a key. Remove these and then you will need a hub nut socket sorta like one for a front hub. remove the nut and then the drum and hub assy can be removed. watch out it is kinda heavy.
