A friend needs an engine for his '93 GMC 4x4 because his sounds like the bottom end is gone. He would like to know if his 350 fuel injected heads (which are done for propane) and intake manifold will bolt on to an earlier carbed 350 block? He's heard the deck angle was different, but I thought they were the same. Anyone done this kind of swap?

Yes, the heads will bolt up fine. You have to run a 87+ intake, because the two middle bolt holes are at a different angle. The block is basically the same. I would run a roller cam if you can. If you can also run the Turbo City 2" TBI, it will greatly help, along with a spacer.

yes they will bolt on, but be careful cause most of the earlier blocks probably won't have any way to mount the knock sensor... Usually you can get post 87 shortblocks for the same price or pretty close to the same price anyways
