My gastank is leaking and I have to take it out of the Jeep. While I have it out, I want to test the fuel sender unit, because I don't get any readings on the gauge. But how do I test the fuel sender?

Get your multimeter out. With the sender arm down (empty) it should read about 73 ohms. With the sender arm up (full) it should read about 10.

Read the info on the link in the other post. It will tell you all you need to know about CJ gauges.
