This may be old news to some of you out there, but recently I changed the timing chain, and gears, in the Jeepster's 225 V6.

I decided to replace the fuel pump cam eccentric, while I was in there. I tried almost everywhere to find one, finally I went to the local Buick dealer, and of course they didn't show a listing for it.
So, I asked if they showed a listing for a 1976 231 V6 Buick, suprisingly they did, I took a chance, and ordered it.

After 2 or 3 days it came, and it was a perfect match, total price was $10.40.
I thought some of you out there might like to know the part number. GM# 1361789.

I did find another source, but they were asking about $60.00 for it!

Happy, Happy, Happy Jeepstering!!!

That's the same part # as Jeep used. Any 225 Jeep V6 engine or 400 Turbo automatic transmission part number, with a few exceptions, SHOULD be able to be looked up through a GM Dealer. In most cases Jeep did not assign their own part numbers but used the GM part number since they were getting the parts from GM anyway.
