But they only have California locations. Surely you have yer own hoseman type place there too! Look up hydraulic hose places and ask questions from there.

That spring in the filler hose could be one of those old anti-siphoning devices that we all used to buy and put in our fuel hoses back during the Nixon and Carter gas shortages. Prevented people from putting siphon hoses down into your tank and stealing all your precious gasoline, which was a real popular pastime for a while.
