You might have to rock a tire back and forth a bit to get it to engage right. It does not seem like it should lock with only a 1/2 turn. What hubs are they? Warn, selectro, superwinch, milemarker, or???? I would get it fixed, not haivng a hub fully engaged could result in broken hub parts.

 

Are you sure they are unlocking all the way? Could be they are full locked and not going far enough to unlock. What type are the lockouts?

After looking at the hub in question today it may not be locking in after all I raised the tire locked in the hub The tire still turned It was not in 4wd but was in park. I took some pictures I will try to attach them hey are warn hubs

First thing I would do is get a can of brake cleaner, or similar, and clean all the grease buildup off the inside of that hub area. They should only have a light coating of oil on them at most. I had a problem with the warn hubs on my one axle not locking and sent an e-mail to Warn asking about it. They replied with what to do to clean them and also sent me a replacement spring kit for them. Go to their website and ask for a replacement spring kit. It free. Just tell them what kind you have (internal or external)
