Freaky Turn-Signal

I have one turn signal that is operating properly but one that is blinking like there is no tomorrow. I noticed I have one corner signal light out on the side that seems to operating at normal speed. Would this have an affect on the other side making it blink so damn fast, or is my problem elsewhere? I like to consider myself somewhat mechanically inclined but when it comes to wiring and electricity, I'm stumped pretty easily. Any thoughts?

That is what I was thinking since I have the corner light on the drivers side out, although it is the passengers side that is blinking rapidly. I figured they had something to go with one another, I just haven't had a chance to change the bulb yet and check.

well could be a few things. i don;t know if a bad bulb will cause this or not (i assume so though) but if you haeva trailer wiring harness that could be the culprit. it is about 60% of the time or so. the other 40% of the time its the little "light bar" in the rear lights. held in by two little lag-screws. anyways, this is a dealer part, but a lot of parts strores carry them sicne they fail so often. ya might want to try that option first. i ussed a test light to track down my problem. thats prolly the easiers way to do it.
this is all assuming its a problem i nthe rear end of the truck...but i haven;t heard of anyne with problems anywhere else.
good luck

everyones right.
my truck was total mess when I got it turn signals didnt work well the kinda did blinked fast sometimes, sometimes didnt blink at all, then the brakes lights would also sometimes work, had one cab clearance light working, what I did was replace all the burnt bulbs helped but didnt realy fix anything finaly broke down and blew out the bulb sockets in the rearm they were so dusty that the contacts werent making contack enough and causeing them to work erraticaly, clearcne lights on the cab were just out didnt have anything to do with the brake lights and turn signals after blowing everything out they worked fine, well till now Ive got a rear brake light bulb out so the turn signal flashes fast but doesnt flash at all on the rear,

Id say go through and find any blown bulbs and replace them and clean off all the contacts, your not realy getting anywhere if you put a new bulb in a dusty dirty bulb socket, bubls are cheap so do that first then ounce you ve got everything clean and they still dont work properly check to see well I dont realy know what to check, lol but i think that should fix your problem

its the bulb. Thats Chevy's way of letting you know its time to replace'em. I had to cleanup the bulb socket because all the dirt and old grease wasn't allowing good contact between bulb and socket. And its a good idea to replace them in pairs (left & right,etc.).

Thanks for the info everyone. I thought it might be something simple like that. I'll check it out this weekend when I install my new Powerslot Rotors and Raybestos Quiet Stop brake pads. Maybe then my truck will stop without shaking the hell out of me! Thanks again.
