frame up restorers

/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif I use the little rubber-lined one-hole pipe hangars as described by Rods-In-Dirt. I try not to use plastic near steel or copper line because the plastic is abrasive enough to rub through the line over time./wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif Been there......had a plastic line cross the brake line at a 90 degree angle and it wore through, and the front brakes went away. The plastic line was an aftermarket gas line that some yahoo at an RV place installed when the Suburban was previously owned. That wasn't ALL they did wrong/wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif. I also had some army surplus aircraft clamps that were really nice.....rubber lined....worked good./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

these are called "Adel Clamps" used on airplanes to clamp lines, hoses and some tubing. I don't know where they are available, however. I put some on my Jeep in '96, and they have help up even over the New England winters just fine.

Any parts store should have those cable clamps shown above, car quest part number EC ST-71 or EC ST-73 depending on the sizes you want. (can you tell I buy those a lot?) /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
