I received my gas tank skid plate last week for my CJ-7 from Four X Doctor and installed it today. Man is this thing tough! 3/16" steel for the front/bottom/rear, and 1/8" for the sides. It cost $169 plus shipping and was worth every penny. He will throw in a new strap (if you need it) for around $10 more, made out heavy steel as well. The whole setup makes the factory sheetmetal thing look kind of (OK really) whimpy. I would recomend these guys to anyone who needs protection for their Jeep. You can get ahold of them at
