At Tractor Supply Co. in one of those middle of the isle tool bins. Probably everyone else has one but if you don't it sure works well on the drillpress! Made in China
, $8.99. Looked around for a Vice Grip brand, even looked in the local hardware and Sears.

They had decent looking recovery straps too, Made in Canada
bought one!

Vice Grip does make it . It is available in the True Value catalog but it is around 25.00 . You have to find a True Value willing to order one for you . The one you picked up looks good though . I use the china brand welders vice grips and so far so good .
Does your recovery strap have hooks on it ? Or do they have the good ones with the loops sewn on ?

Good to know about ordering the Vice Grip if this one breaks. The straps have loops, lots of stitching and the eye is reinforced with another layer of material. A 2"x20' was $26, 2x30 was $35. Good price we thought since didn't have to pay shipping.. even have this monster 6" wide strap for pulling out tractors!

Guess I'd better make a trip to our Tractor Supply . I have a serious love/hate relationship with this local store , they carry just enough to aggravate but not enough to really be useful . Those china grips are great for welding , who cares if you burn them up ....
