Found New Stock 1 3/4\" Front Shackles
Saw a post here a few days ago about replacement shackles for the narrow 1 3/4" springs. I pick up two sets today at Back Country Products http://backcountryproducts.com/index.htm here in town (email: [email protected]). They are stock so won't give you and extra height, but will replace the corroded, metal eaten away, ones I have on now and keep it stock if you are doing a restore. Part number is 928763 made by Crown Automotive Sales, cost was $13.90 each. The owner told me he bought out a Jeep dealership years ago that had quite a few Jeepster parts and still has some in the warehouse. If you need something you can't find give them a call at (702) 873-2950 or you can do a request on their website page, you may get lucky. The business has been here for almost 30 years and deals almost strickly with Jeep parts. I remember getting some clutch parts for my J4000 back in the late 80's from him. Just some info to share.
Oh yeah, I bought a set of the front springs from Mike in FL that was talked about on here in Nov. Cost $64.50 each plus shipping and came complete with the rear bushing installed. Hopefully this will eliminate the sag from having a plow on the front end the first 20 years of life. I'll do some before and after measurements if anyone is interested.
